I do not know the exactly right answer to your question, but it do not matter. You can anyhow adjust how much STEEM you get from power down by stopping the power down and start it again later. You can also power up some of your STEEM if you got more than you wanted. You can also power up with SBD (Steem Dollars) if you want.

that's true, but stopping and starting he power down each week sounds inconvenient....
