It's saddening that the noble act has lost its place in this era of civilization. I remember vividly, listening with rapt attention to these stories when I was younger. Aside the lessons, it's another time to intermingle with other kids in our society then. Unlike what we have now, then, our society is just one big FAMILY.
I am agree with your opinion @seento. The family is the first educational institution for children. The habit of storytelling is a part of education that must be preserved amid advances in information technology.
