RE: Say hello to the NettyVoter Bid Bot - 0.10 SBD minimum bid, 50% votes, 1.2 hour periods

in #steemit-dev7 years ago

I'm curious about "potential profit" which is vague. There are no details about what that means, which could be that the vote is divided between all contributors during the 2 hour period. That could also lead to a "potential loss". Complete details please with all caveats.

Please check the post now for more details. All users will receive some % of the payout.

How much depends on the activity during the bidding period. It is possible, but a bit unlikely, that a user would lose money bidding around 0.250SBD. If a user comes in and bids $10 he would take the majority of the vote from everyone else, but he would be losing money himself.

I urge everyone to do their own math for the period the bot is in. I am going to make a very simple website that shows when the bot is going to vote next so users can use that and the transfers sent to the bot to determine if it is wise to bid during that period.

The website would be helpful if it shows what the competition is for the 2 hr. period and the strength of the vote that is current. I have only tried using @treeplanter a few times because I like their project but their vote comes in quite weaker at times than what they promote. I think I may have lost a bit with them because some votes didn't come through. Have read complaints of a couple other services too.
