I like the idea of developing the idea of city touring. This insipires me to write a commentary about it later on my blog :) What is the true motivation of people who travel to other places (some times cheaply called tourists, some other time called migrants but realy should be called explorers)? I find a dialogue between the individual, the city, the people, the nature, well especially the dialogue between explorers and arts a profoundly interessting one. Do explorers who come and want to see a city or place just want to see it? No, I think we want to feel it, let it inspire us on the paths that each one of us is. A "tourist" is never just a "tourist". So how to do that? Well, I think exposing explorers to locals as guides is going to work. The funny thing is that most locals would probably claim, that they dont have enough knowledge on their own to deliver an entire tour. But this is the thing, everyone in this city has at least one super interessting experience, opinion, piece of knowledge about the city. Discovering that one piece and connecting it with that one piece of another, will bring the most colourful, most inspirational experience to all. And that, happening spontainiously, while walking the streets of a city: Yep, count me in.
