Hi @jnmarteau, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I found out that @bloktv and @zuckerzombi don't exist on Steem. Maybe you made some typos ?

Hey, @checky's creator here. Thanks for the feedback! I would love to do that but I'd rather have the SteemPlus add-on include such a feature rather than making an add-on just for that. What I want at the end of the day is for Steem apps (Steemit, Busy, SteemPeak...) to implement a mention checker that would run just before posting.

For those apps (Steemit, Busy, SteemPeak...) I can't really engage but for those we are developing on the steem or other blockchain would be really awesome to cooperate! =)
Ah, un francophone! Je ne t'ai jamais croisé auparavant, tu ne vas jamais sur le tag #fr ? Pour ce qui est de ta proposition, je pense sincèrement qu'il n'y aura pas besoin de moi pour ça mais merci d'avoir proposé! Dans le cas d'un check avant publication il suffirait de trouver les passages @username dans un post (chose que @checky ne fait pas encore d'ailleurs, il se sert de l'array users générée par la majorité des grosses apps Steem), de faire l'appel API lookup_account_names (en passant l'array de mentions à checker) qui renverra une array avec aux divers index soit null si le pseudo n'existe pas, soit les détails de l'utilisateur si il existe. Je ne saurais pas t'aider pour les autres blockchains mais celles qui ont un système de noms d'utilisateur comme ici devrait avoir quelque chose de similaire à lookup_account_names.
