It will be really good if we can build a stronger Steem presence in more countries across South America.
Maybe we need to try some sort of 'Invite a friend in a neighbouring country' type initiative.
This sort of list would be useful in other continents too.

We’re thinking and working on new ideas and contests to recruit more people from this side of the world... but from my point of view, it’s also good to start from this users that already are on the platform, so we’ll start checking up on them whether it’s voting for them or leaving a comment, telling them how to engage more with Steemit!

@steemcurator01. That would be nice. Although I wanted to make a list that will include not just the username but the city and region like the one I did for my Community.

Then, we will encourage users in the same city to get to know each other, network and promote Steemit as a group in their city. Several users in Nigeria live in the same city, but do not know each other. So this list to include the cities and region will help to bring them together and market Steemit as a unit. That's just a suggestion.
But if just the usernames are ok, and we are to put them all together in one list, fine too.
We would deliberated on it and one person would make the list with the support of others. Thank you.

I do agree with @fendit. Aside what our geeter fairy team are doing, we could also revive dormant accounts into active ones by directing them to some of the new projects and contests that are currently ongoing.
A contest could be a good place to start. I have encountered about 2 ghanaians here already and will try to reach as many as possible. Let me start with the compilation of the list of ghanaians list as well. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Steemit team.
I think that visiting this type of accounts would increase engagement in Steemit. It's key, because some of them never know how to fully understand the platform and all the different things they can do here... So I'll try to visit them from time to time to see how they're doing. It'd be great if we could do this for every country... but it certainly times a lot of time, lol
Yeah, similar thing happened to me when I joined in July. I just happened to stumble upon a Newcomer's introductory post in the "steem greet" Community and I was so glad to have found it.
I therefore know how crutial guidance here on steemit can help foster growth and engagement and will do my best to direct the people I encounter :).
