As for the issues you encountered:
- Google's push notification servers prove to be unreliable when it comes to sending a lot of messages in short periods of time. We have come up with a solution for this, and are currently working on implementing the code. If all goes well, we will update our servers on Monday so you'll be able to receive push notifications again.
- The Steemify servers are currently using the last irreversible block to parse the transactions in the blockchain. This is done so we don't have the possibility of showing notifications for transactions that are later rejected. However, this also means there's a ~1min delay compared to the current head block.

And iam agree with you regarding google notification servers but hoping for more fast push notifications in upcoming updates,
And thanks for clearing the reason of Delay while receiving notifications.
