It is a requirement to FOLLOW and UP-VOTE @Vocalists-Trail to take part in contests and to stay well connected and up to date with the latest info and news!

You must record your song A Capella - No Music.
This is a simple rule for all contestants to follow, as it ensures that contestants are not judged on quality of equipment, or tassles... but soley on just the vocals.
This gives steemians opportunity to engage and connect with a singers natural voice and connect with the rawness of individual vocal ability.

Contestants entries must be a NEW live video performance (Phone quality is recommended), singing in natural A Capella.

Your entry must contain the relevant info at the beginning of your audition video
"My entry for Steemian Idol Week _____________ (Insert week number and name of song)"
Having this simple information is VITAL in regards to your entry qualifying your entry
It is proof of your original intent to enter that weeks heat and not post older video's.

Your entry post must also be Titled with the words
"Vocalists-Trail Steemian Idol- HEAT number...(insert heat number and name of song)
You have the option of singing originals or covers.
PRIZES:
The TOP ENTRY with the most votes by Sunday 14th Jan will win 5 SBD.

You may sing any song you like - without music.
Choose between singing a cover or an original song.
As the contest progresses and numbers grow, rules and processes may change with plans to expand and get creative with new ways of challenging contestants and entertaining voters.
For example, sometime in the future there may be extra conditions incorporated such as song choices being more specific or themed. Singers may also be asked to provide their own backing music - which means individuals will also be allowed to play their own instruments or have instrumentalists play backing music for them - ONLY IF THE RULES SPECIFICALLY STATE IT, otherwise -
follow the rules numbered above as they are the base set of rules that apply for each weeks contest - UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.
You are encouraged to go to as much effort as you can to present your live performance to the best of your ability.
@Vocalists-Trail encourage people to NOT SHARE inappropriate/highly offensive content or risk being disqualified, as we welcome people of all ages to take part!
Rules may be subject to change if @Vocalists-Trail for any reason at any time deems it.
