The Lumen allows you to truly take ownership of all of your data. It acts as your personal data centre where all of your data and content is stored.
Basically, Lumen authenticates you in the lens network. What is lens?. The lens is a network of people it's not a platform lens just make sure to connect you with people directly. so there are two ways to connect with lens
- Lumen
- Pc
The purpose of these devices is to store your data and facilitates your interactions on Lens.
So if you don't have a laptop then you need to purchase Lumen. It allows you to do 2 things
First once you're connected in the peer-to-peer network you are able to use the internet without having to sign up for a service such as Google or Facebook.
so basically you are cutting out the middle man and connecting straight with people
Secondly it allows other peers, such as your pc or phone to handle all the computations.src.

Thanks for yet another hunt. I’ve reviewed and approved it. The hunt is on.
Data privacy is the main thing for us and if our data is secure we are at good. However recent time has shown many data leaks and thats making us insecure and to lose our trust at many platforms. Surely lens network will be a positive change to adopt by many.
Boycotting signage where privacy could be at risk is one good thing about this Lumen peering. It gives freedom to connect, share data without beimg prone to identity theft or putting your security/privacy at risk.
Another plus is its ability to allow other peers like pc or phone to handle all computations. Kudos to the brains behind it.
The new economy model of future is sharing economy. Because the recent business models of emerged in the recent years are related to sharing methods . Lumen is one of these business models. I think it looks quite useful and useful. Great Hunt !!
We use broadband connection at our home in my country. The full access of the network is on the hand of the people who gives the internet line.
This device can provide privacy in that case. Also I have seen many companies using shared network, they can use this to protect data flow.

Lumens is certainly what will need to keep the ownership and privacy of our photos from some friends who might use them for adverts and other purposes.
