Since I can't describe it all feature so I'm linking them have a look Arnold features. This illumination rendering software will help all artists to render their most complex scenes easily and efficiently. I can understand some CG techniques can be obvious for example trying to render polygon mesh with traditional surface shader so it will help you to settle down easily.
