It's the patent-pending ScreenShield technology that really got my attention. I mean Telegram is already doing an excellent job and they creators have a history of standing up for the privacy and here is a quote from 2016:

“There is an issue with Telegram,” said Mounir Mahjoubi, president of the National Digital Council, an independent advisory group established by former President Nicolas Sarkozy that focuses on privacy issues. “They had done everything to make it a technological nightmare to find where their server is.”

So Confide is against some tough competition and it does seem to have some good tricks going on for it. I'd personally prefer a cooler looking UI. Bu on the other hand the classic feel of the UI might make it more accommodating to non-tech users. It's great too see that the Android version as already passed half a million downloads.
