I've actually been seeing a lot similar products being wheeled around shopping centers:

Pros:

• Kids can play while their parents wheel them around.
• Kids aren't locked in, and so don't get upset when they have to go in the basket.
• Folds up nice and neat.

Cons:

• Kids might eat all your shopping, regardless of whether it's edible or not.
• People can wheel their dogs around more than ever now.
