if you told me when i was a teenager that i'd be able to build my own mobile phone for around $50 i would have said you were crazy but that is where we are today, using off the shelf components and a bit of open source software and a bit of spare time and effort, you too could own something like this and even build your own 3d printed box around it -- pretty neat.
ZeroPhone is an open source, Linux-powered, $50 smartphone. It has no carrier locks, bloated apps, or data mining, and it doesn’t depend on big companies - instead, its open source hardware and software give you as much control over your phone as possible

thank you very much.
This hunt is really clever fot it allows its users to learn how to assemble phones, plus you can learn a bit about programming and stuff. Outstanding hunto!
@jonsnow1983 yep, pretty fire :) 😎
Great hunt @teamhumble. A call phone in its most raw form and I love the geeky design. Looking at the screen size I wonder if any apps can ever be designed for it but may be it evolves. I definitely like the the idea that both hardware and software are open source and my privacy is not being breached by any one tech giant.
@karamyog cheers matey, i totally love the geeky design, i can totally imagine making a 3d printed custom case for it too -- i mean i don't know how safe or secure the open sourced parts are but we can hope right? especially if the open source code is open and being updated and added too 👍
Look at that, I just ordered pi zero because I want to make a crypto hardware wallet out of it and now, I found this. I'd order again to make a phone. And good suggestion on the 3d printed case, I think it would be cool to have a phone you built and nothing looks like it out there. Good find!
@mermaidvampire well then it was meant to be right? :) 😍
That is some really cool tech. I'd love to mess around with it to see how it works.
Great hunt @teamhumble, Have an awesome weekend dude!
@jeffjagoe cheers.
Nice hunt @teamhumble!
As a lover of electronic kits, this seems an excellent product to play around with.
I don't have a raspberry pi yet and have always wanted to tinker around with one. This could be a great way for me to do so, especially at only $50.
I want one!
@donkeysworld.
@donkeysworld right? i have to get me one of these to play with 👍
Without mobile we cont live a second also.Using this we create our own customized mobile.
@lavanyalakshman well maybe a second, but i get what you mean1 :) 😀
great hunting I think it's good for people who want to experiment with the internal parts of a smarphone avoiding having to spend lots of money
@ederaleng well just means you can build one together, completely open source, amazing. 👍
Great hunt!
It is a really compacted phone and the price is unbelieveably cheap
I really love it
Thanks for the sharing
@g9g i think it would make for a very interesting experiment! :) 😎
It is a great opportunity to build a mobile phone for 50$. Open source is a good feature as well. Great Hunt mod @teamhumble . Congratulations.
@elleny yeah, let's hope i can hold onto no1 today 👍
