. .. that we would have to take our logic from the way our own bodies work in terms of our dna and proteins that make up the human body to apply that same thinking to the way that viruses and malware work, i mean, it's kinda the only way to truly do this in the future, where the clue work is made of 'cells' of data.

ugh, straight genius if you ask me -- this was recently used to map similar code DNA from previously recycled and adapted codebases from years back recently. The more complex state-sponsored targetted hacks get the more the crews that operate behind them will need to find ways to cover their tracks.

take wannacry for instance they have it broken down in 'gene' dna which spans a huge database of code blocks and beyond, it's a hugely interesting project and it takes that notion of a 'virus scanner' to the next level.
