Description

now i don't know if you follow steem as much as i do but i remember that we saw in the SMT pages (https://smt.steem.io) about how potentially SMT's might be able to be used to cultivate the comments on sites outside of the current steem frontends, places like news sites, anywhere that has a discord, big publications.

well it seems that @sambillingham (someone that i just recently discovered and who i'm making a focus on today for steemhunt) has already started building a working comments system (not SMT but could be) that can be used outside of the usual steem blockchain frontends (steemit, busy, etc)

what's great about this in my eyes is 'retention' of users eyeballs ultimately tracking back to the steem blockchain, it's just another great way of exposing people to the idea of incentives, steem and the decentralized nature of the way the platforms that connect to the steem blockchain work.

all sam's work that i'm covering today has 50% contributor allocation assigned to it and i really hope that i get to work with him on a few projects, i'm certainly going to be either using/forking his photo project for @nomadpictures so we can share cc0 images free of charge on the steem blockchain.

hahahah! ok! nice ;)

Great news!
To be honest, I have been on Steem for few months now, I was very very keen when I started. And then I realised some irregularities where not only unique quality content gets more upvotes, with higher payouts, but also very important to have "circle of friends, or fans around".
This became the main affect recently, how much people getting paid for posts, comments, or even how fast they go to hot (or trending) topics. I have noticed some people constantly are in those trending topics, even if articles are being not equally informative, or bigger input of work into some articles. It was always about how many whale friends you have... so they upvote each other's articles etc.
So fingers crossed with this change, some things will change too.

i don't get involved with that stuff. i just like creating, making and learning. that stuff will always happen on planet earth ;) -- some people always want to go faster even if the journey ultimately becomes shorter. . ..

I have made a lot more off comments then I have on posts ever since I have started so that’s Always been a motivation for me

yeah that's become pretty much the community here are receptive and friendly which i really love about steemit so this helps a lot to because people outside of the eco system can discover it because they have to get a steemit account to take part and comment -- gonna be playing with it more.

Finally! It's a good name :)
I hope "Finally" catch up Diqus and Facebook comments one day 🙏🏻
