just picked up a bunch of funding.. .
i'm always on the look out for interesting approachs to crypto currency and especially when they build on the problems that they have discovered from current offerings, i really like the ideas behind this in what it is trying to solve.
Crypto currencies have been too volatile for mainstream use. Loans, salaries and other basic financial contracts are poorly served by volatile currency
Stable currency isn't available in much of the world. In many developing countries, the most stable currency available can devalue at a rate of 10% per year or more.
Basis is designed to maintain a stable value as a medium of exchange accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
Basis is designed to keep prices stable by algorithmically adjusting supply
certainly sounds like an interesting idea and i really like the website design, team (yes it has women on it thank god) and it seems more than just another PUNT or ICO dream document, it actually sounds like a really interesting project and i'm certainly going to follow this with interest! :)
your retweets, comments and upvotes are oxygen to me.
P.S -- new 3/4hr course on the steem blockchain utility belt coming really really really soon. promise! :) -- check me out on @dlive each day as i start building out a cool @steemhunt design for reviewing the top 10 list each day! :)

Hey dude :)
What's the difference between basis and tether?
i never looked at tether because *it appears that it's not really BACKED by anything and made the markets jumpy for a while regarding bitcoin. i've only heard positive things about basis so far, i have yet to look over there whitepaper but i will, also i go on lots of factors, team, design, approach, social accounts..
the three sections they mention also to me are indeed elements that need to be looked at for mass adoption of crypto and like steem i like the fact that it's pegged to something.
seems they got a lot of fresh & keen talent on the team, so let's see!
