It's obvious from its name what it is. However, let me simplify it more. In a nutshell, it's a solar powered pump with zero fuel cost, low maintenance or repair cost. It has multiple applications ranging from irrigation to drinking, washing and bathing in the developing countries in particular. The alternate option that it's a good replacement for is very costly. I hope it gives you a fair idea of this hunt.
