Hunter's comment

Rode Microphones has always been my first choice for Filmmaking. In terms of great sound quality, they got it right. The Rode TX-M2 is a wireless upgrade to the highly acclaimed M2 Series and these mics are incredible for singers, performers and voice recording. The TX-M2 is also the newest member of the RodeLink for Filmmaker's family. It looks like a dynamic microphone but has a powerful condenser mechanism
built into it. The wireless transmission ranges within a 100m as the microphone automatically picks the strongest signal to sustain sound levels while in use. The microphone produces crystal clear sound and.handling noise is pretty minimal. As with all rode products the price to quality ratio is always attractive. The microphone indeed increases flexibility for performance while maintaining quality.

seems like a good mic, yes wireless is the way to go for filming it is very convenient. Light weight and durable.
nice hunt

Rode mics have always had the sound quality standard. I believe this mic is no except. Thanks

Here is my opinion about Rode TX-M2

Pros:

  • It is an awesome product specifically to conduct stage performances
  • Wireless feature provides an open freedom to move here and there freely
  • One can record his voice through distance
  • It provides the required echo in a perfect way
  • No voice breaker nor it splits the voice
  • Very easy and light to use

Cons:

  • No particular for it

Over all an awesome hunt, Keep hunting @starkemmy :)

I never knew Rode made live performance microphones and thought they only made them for cameras. Personally, I've always used Shure SM58's (wired and wireless) at my live performances for many years with no problems. It would be interesting to try one of these out. May have to go to PMT (Professional Music Technology) in the city and test one of these bad boys out.
