Unlike other wave energy converters, Azura extracts power from both the heave (vertical) and surge (horizontal) motions of waves to maximize energy capture.
The float can rotate 360° or oscillate back and forth, because of the flexible and freedom in motion, the setup can extract full energy from any type of wave condition.
The demo project is running in US Navy’s Wave Energy Test Site at the Marine Corps Base Hawai’i.

The development of such eco-friendly energy is essential for humans as fossil fuels are increasingly destroying the environment and depleting resources, and global warming is occurring. Because it uses the force of waves to generate electricity, it can continue to generate electricity as long as the device operates normally. And because waves occur infinitely, they will save money in the long run. I hope many of these eco-friendly energy generating devices will be developed.

Azura is a wonderful technology used to produce electricity by converting ocean waves. The problem of energy crisis is all over the world. There are so many ways to produce electricity. But I think Hydroelectric energy is not so expensive as compare to others and also eco friendly as well. In our country power energy is a big issue and we are producing energy bu thermal, hydel and some other ways but generation of hydroelectric power is best way so far. Nice hunting dear.
An amazing tech to produce energy from ocean waves. Many countries are short of their energy needs and thr countries with near ocean coasts should use this technology to meet their energy needs.
It help to produce energy in very low cost. This is really great trchnology to save energy.
There's something about converting the motion of the ocean waves into electricity that makes so much sense. The waves are almost endless unlike winds plus it doesn't hurt the animals in the water like a windmill can with birds.
agree.we have to go for alternative eco friendly energy sources. this one is having opportunity to harvest energy without any interval. thank you @direwolf
You are still at top consecutively with Industrial Hunt. How come? Well, I have nothing to do with. Although AZURA serves a great purpose to fill the need for more electricity.
It's an undoubtedly a good way to produce electricity for use by converting Ocean Waves.
he..he.. @ikrahch, i don't know how it comes under industrial hunt. anyway have some cool eco friendly green energy. system which going to serve its role in saving our planet. let us have a better life through this industrial hunt. if it is. thank you, have a great day.
We badly need renewable energy to fulfill the requirements of energy. Convering ocean wave to electricity is helping to generate energy without disturbing environment. Nice hunt
Great to see that US Navy is running a demo project. I've seen these concepts as a child but they never got massively applied in real life for energy generation. It is understandable how solar energy gets all the attention because you can't use this technology everywhere even if you have an ocean. Thee needs to be more favorable conditions met to efficiently generate energy.
I'm actually thinking about the possibility of having a modified version near waterfalls where there is a constant stream of water flowing that can be used.
we are now able to harvest all the movement of the waves and sea water, this is the success and this will help to get some energy without disturbing nature. me too expecting the small customized units according to the environments. let us wait. thank you @vimukthi
Amazing! Hopefully it will soon be available on the market and dozens of countries will begin to implement its use. It is essential that the future of electricity is in alternative sources. Azura is a good step towards the future.
