This is a duplicate, the Oppo F9 has been hunted already.
An update the OS doesn’t make it a new version, it would be an update to the OS. It’s still the same Oppo F9.
If iOS is updated, then iOS is the update which can be hunted. Not the iPhone or iPad which run it.
Yet, major updates are main version number, so it would have to be ColorOS 6, rather than a 5.x update.
