One thing I really like is that they are bringing this to the market early asking for customer feedback instead of developing in their own silo and releasing after the horse has left the stable. Identity, communication and automation are importation matters to be taken seriously. Komodo is the only major crypto I know of that take interoperability seriously. But they only have so many different projects going on.
It's an ambitious project. Let's see how it goes. If it does fail, then the next project will have learned a lot from GemOS.
