I had an unused roomba from 4 years ago. Obviously it's an older model. I can't say enough how great this thing is. My all wood floor house is cleaner than ever. With 3 young kids, 2 dogs and a cat, our floors get dirty. We were sweeping 3 times a week and felt like we could never get clean. We run roomba twice in the evenings and the floors are spotless.
I bought one of these at Christmas. We have new carpet, so the first few times we used it we had to be constantly emptying it as it collected up all the fluff that always comes with the new. As the carpet became a bit more "conditioned" over a few days of cleaning, the bin needed less emptying, but it still needs doing at least after each cleaning job, and often during one. This makes it a little less than ideal for leaving to clean on a schedule. A slightly bigger bin would definitely make this device a bit more practical. Overall, it does a good cleaning job.
I have a roomba 770 and I love it. I have owned it for 2 years now and it's crazy how it still works perfectly. Replacement filters are cheap on amazon. Recommend it to those with pets that often bring dirt from outside. :)
