Linux Mint 19 is a free open source operating system which as many if not all of the features of Windows and Mac, and maybe even more besides. It comes in 3 different options, Cinnamon Edition, MATE Edition and Xfce Edition, and can be downloaded and booted from a live CD, which means you can try it without installing it or altering your current OS in any way. Linux Mint 19 is a long term support release which will be supported until 2023. It comes with updated software and brings refinements and many new features to make your desktop even more comfortable to use.
Minimum System requirements:
1GB RAM (2GB recommended for a comfortable usage).
15GB of disk space (20GB recommended).
1024×768 resolution (on lower resolutions, press ALT to drag windows with the mouse if they don’t fit in the screen).
