There is an interesting natural phenomenon, which we observe almost every day ... Evaporation of water ... Disappearance of water into thin air.

Now the questions are:

1. Is there any energy involved in this phenomenon?
2. Can we use "Evaporation of Water" to produce renewable energy/clean electricity?

Answer to these questions is YES. A team from Columbia University have designed a working Evaporation Engine for clean electricity.

One of the material used for this engine are also consist of bacterial spores. When these spores find moisture they expand in size and when the surroundings are dry they reduce their size. Ozgur Sahin and the team used this quality of bacterial spores very intelligently in developing the Evaporation Engine.

This short video will show you this interesting & intriguing making of engine.

It's on a small level right now but it has a potential to produce billions of MegaWatts of clean energy.

Thank you for posting on Steemhunt!
However, your post has been delisted on Steemhunt because it does not meet the following posting guidelines.

###2. Types of Products to Post
Steemhunt generally covers unique IT or hardware products, including:
2-1. Web services
2-2. Mobile apps
2-3. API, IT solutions, bots, open sources or other types of software
2-4. Tech gadgets, hardware, IoT/connected/wearable devices
2-5. Games
2-6. Innovative Engineering/Design Products (It may cover non-tech products that have been invented based on high-level engineering/design approach to solve a major problem)

If you are posting any conceptual product, it must be past the planning stage. It should have an official physical prototype announced.

while this is an awesome experiment, and could lead to some great products in the future, I do not believe this to be a product, rather a setup to test the phenomenon of evaporation and it's effects, thank you for hunting and we look forward to your next one!

With due respect, it is a renewable energy resource product like wind/solar/hydro power generation. This one is designed to produce the power from evaporation of the water rather than from flow of water.
The video included in the Hunter's Comment field is about physical miniature prototype. Please reconsider your decision, @dayleeo.

In any case, thanks for the moderation and for the quick response, @dayleeo. Wish you a nice & lovely day.

Would be amazing if it worked to generate good power kind of like a Steam engine
