I did not realize origami can inspire robotics but apparently, it does with this popup products. What are popups? Popups are rigid and flexible materials created into laminated 3D mechanism. How do we do this? PopupCAD has the answer.
popupCAD is a suite of tools to help designers and engineers make laminate devices, like robots and machines.
That is how this application is described on the website. After reading further, what I liked the most about this application is that it is very easy to use. It focuses more on the "how" of making robots so developers can instead focus on the design.
What's more? This can be so easy to use even by children ages 5 and above.
