AirCarbon is one of the most promising sustainability innovation of recent times. It is a biopolymer made from methane based or carbon dioxide based emissions, after combining them with oxygen. The resulting product is 40% oxygen and and 60% carbon and hydrogen from gas emissions. Rather than breathing this toxic air, airbon ensures that we turn our everyday emissions into useful products.
Not only is the product sustainable, it is also high performance and carbon negative.
AirCarbon™ can be used in extrusion, blown film, cast film, thermoforming, and injection molding applications.
The company behind it, Newlight Technologies has also got Dell to use AirCarbon in their products and won multiple awards. Its a great innovation. Do check it out.

i feel like if they can pull this off this could be the gamechanger that we need for the plastic conversation moving forward, something has to change right? this might be it for plastic.
rightly said @teamhumble.. plastic needs to go. I have seen a lot of young companies working towards replacing plastic and this is definitely one of the better, if not best, options.
The other thing i heard about was this research conducted Portsmouth university in UK in which they accidently discovered a plastic eating enzyme. Nonetheless, plastic alternatives are needed.
yeah i saw that, let's hope they roll it out with as much gusto as the plastic issue did itself, ruining our planet since the 70's ;( (at full crank production at least)

Pros and Cons
Pros:
-Excellent way to reduce carbon emissions
-Help makes the world better and less from global warming

Plastic materials are dangerous for the environment and mankind. I think this recycling will be more friendly to the environment. Great idea and great hunt.
It will be abd hopefully replace plastic completely.

well, this is another amazing idea. it's similar a little bit to plants which also take CO2 for production (of glucose). The only thing I didn't understand yet is what happens with the product from this material when it becomes noneffective (will we have CO2 after its treatment?). anyhow, it's a great and very useful product! )
oh my world, it means that co2 emission can be use to make plastic, this is laudable. according to CBS the emission rate of carbon 2.4 million pounds per second can be used to produce plastic..., just imagine such potential industry
While all plastics are produced from petroleum nowadays, AirCarbon is different from them. It is produced from air-methane-based or carbon dioxide-based greenhouse gas emissions, and 40% oxigen stresses the air. So awesome. Such inventions are necessary for a sustainable life.

Products like this we need more. Its material is recyclable and it means good for environment. There are a lot of plastic chairs and it takes hundreds years to the world to recycle it self. I like this material and the product very much tanks for it
