I think that display time should be reduced as much as possible for kids and that they should use that time to play outside. On the other side, it is not a solution to forbid it at all, as they are growing up in an environment where it is very typical that people are starring into their screens (phone, pc, tv, etc.). So when we are showing them the screen, it should be at least something valuable.
Just stumbled over this hand-drawn minimalistic but very detailed interactive app for kids, which let them play around with the figures you could meet in a zoo. The artist behind this app is Christoph Niemann, based in Berlin and author of several children books, also appeared on the cover of the New York Times, The New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly.
You will find in total 21 adorable animals with at least five interactions. Mostly swiping from the top, left, right, down and tipping in the middle. App is available on iOS and Android and works best on a bigger iPad.

Not yet as I had cut my Netflix account 3 years ago, but have downloaded the hunted App this morning, shortly before writing the article and love the style. Will try to find the time for the mentioned episode. :)
I would send it but considering the local connection it may be faster if I send my hard drive and not sure that’s a sacrifice I want to make. 🤔

Yes, this is not undervalued, but i can't stop my finger to click this hunt. Why? because it's super unique, and the best friend for my kids (i am 100% sure they will love it).
it's super interactive, and more fun.

I do not expect a kid to use this by himself as he will play with it more than trying to read, but reading it together and controlling the 'fun', I'm sure it will work pretty well. It's a nice simple concept, nice hunt.
Hmmm.. never wrote that any reading is involved here. :) Animals don't speak, so there is no text (hahaha) but just plain visual information. That is the reason that this application is wonderful for pre-school kids and internationally useable.

My two lil' ones love the animal kingdom. Books Galore along with shows and everything under the rainbow! I do think just adds a surprising pleasant level to their experience that they have yet to experience! Nice hunt!
