This is a very useful pdf-parser tool, I believe written in java. The problem it solves it is converting simple or complex pdf files to html dom structure so the data can be processed easily for intended need.
I find this tool to be useful when there is a need to automate extracting data from hundreds+ complex pdf files. One of the simple uses can be converting pdf files to html format and then automating rest of the data processing/manipulation using javascript.
Pdf2Dom is easy to use and following brief documentation explains simple steps to use it.

This is an ultimate must have.. I always wanted to edit files but could ot because of lack of tool..I have sensed that the editing world be much better converting those file and rewrite any corrections on contents. Great Hunt
