Turbulent is a Belgium company that offers a solution to provide reliable and renewable hydropower energy to supply electricity in a smart and decentralized production.
Hydropower is a cheap source of energy for communities, but currents hydro powered solutions need large infrastructures, and sometimes they need to flow entire valley.
The Vortex Turbine by Turbulent is inspired by the natural shape of the vortex and is a new and efficient way to deliver affordable and green electricity without damaging the surrounding ecosystem.
The maintenance fees are also important for current solution, what about the Vortex Turbine?
The operation of the turbine is quite simple. It has only one moving part, extending it’s operating life, energy production and thus requiring very little maintenance
They won significant prizes such as a 100K prize from the WWL Orcelle® Award in 2016, which show the potential of Turbulent in the next decade.
