Tunes a new social community for and by music fans and creators. Sharing and engaging about and around the topic of music, is the name of the game.
Tunes is not just another social network, it's a social network that rewards people for their attention and time.
About a week or so ago, Tunes launched their service based on the Steemit open source social network service. A week before that, the team launched the Tunes Token through the Steem Engine market.
300.000 tokens are floated to the market, of which a large part is available for distribution to content creators and curators/content voters.
Tokens can be traded, as well as purchased at Steem Engine, listed under the official token name TUNES.

The price of steem token has been falling day after day. There are many steem engine-based tokens and services, but it's a pity that they don't seem to have an impact on the rise in stepm prices. I hope this music service tokens will be successful and have a good effect on the price of steem.
I think it is too early to have impact on Steem prices. Steem Engine is very cool, but I think it is still in its infant phase. The tie between token and Steem in terms of 1-on-1 vote is to inflexible. Hopefully they gonna work on this as well, as well as SMT having a more advanced implementation. For know, I think creating and experimenting with (niche) communities with their own tokens and distribution algorithms, is super. Music was undervalues at Steemit, therefore I'm so pleased we now have several music communities build through Steem Engine and own UI.

Yea i have gotten some of their airdrops wow it seems col and yea it would be cool for all music lovers and also for all music composers. we all will enjoy it i think so
i dumped the tokens as soon as I got them. I can't manage any more tribes and tokens. it's too much! i think the tribe is good, music appeals to so many people.

I thought it is already hunted but sadly no one has hunted when it comes to the form. Well, the tunes token value is really nice atm and I wish them the best of luck for the bright future. Not many people are music creators but hopefully, it may stand out.

I first became aware of the SCOT when I had some TUNES to be claimed as rewards. I actually thought it was probably already Hunted. These new additions are great for diversification and anti-fragility of the ecosystem. If we rely on one or few small niches, we could easily get crushed. If we generalize too much, it could act very much like a central point of failure.
When we have so many different sectors involved, what we would eventually end up is a decentralized community of decentralized communities. If any of the marketing teams want something flashy to promote STEEM, they could say that we are "Decentralized^2 "
You maybe right; I like the logic: Squared De-Centralised. With SMT coming and the ability to kinda create what SMT will bring, right as we speak; We see many many tokens being born, but more importantly, many many (niche) communities. Playing around with them a bit lately, gives me the idea that the success of Steem, may indeed be the collective success of 100s maybe even 1000s (and more) communities having their own members, and token. Whether each individual token will have some value, that depends on that particular service; Steem certainly has the ability to get value because of all these services.
I love music and sharing my experience with the world. I hope this community will be highly dedicated to learn and explore different Cultural music and I would love to contribute.
