Among all the concept products we bring to our community; This proven concept (by MIT Research) cannot stay unmentioned. Article here.
MIT proved they can extract drinkable water from the driest air on earth. With only 10% humidity, they extracted 0,25 l water using 1 kg MOF (Metal-Organic Framework); On top of that, energy from direct sunlight only.
It seems almost to good to be true!
The research team says:
Current methods for extracting water from air require much higher levels – 100 percent humidity for fog-harvesting methods, and above 50 percent for dew-harvesting refrigeration-based systems, which also require large amounts of energy for cooling.
So the new system could potentially fill an unmet need for water even in the world’s driest regions.
What about combining this with growing crops w/ water, wind turbines and solar power in the desert? We are close to provide food to ALL

I won't appeal, since indeed it does not fit in category 2-6 to the letter of the word, I think these types of hunts should have been covered for the simple reason that this is 1) although being a prototype, still a product (like concept cars are also single products that are not available for purchase and may not even have a price tag) and 2) this prototype/concept product is created through one of the most innovative engineering of all products getting into the daily top 10 at Steemhunt.
