Solar energy is an important topic for our children. With this set of Fischertechnik children from the age of 8 years collect their first experiences of generating electricity from solar energy. With 160 parts, four different solar-powered models can be built. The solar module and the motor ensure that the electric car, the solar catamaran, a paddle streamer and a fan move. The children discover the world of renewable energies in a playful way.

Even though this is just a toy, well I guess I could say that this tech would be great not just to develop your kids technical skills, but also develop their knowledge about solar powered modules.
It's an interesting product.
I've never seen a solar-powered toy before. I'd like to give this to my son as a gift. He saw only battery-powered toys. Maybe give it to him so he can learn about solar power. And I think it'll be an opportunity for him to learn about green energy.

Interest of our young generation in Solar Technology should be appreciated. I think in upcoming time energy crisis is a big problem all over so we should mentally prepared our kids for this purpose. such type of toys helps them to be created minded from grass root level. "PROFI Solar Power" toys are effective activity to build their positive personality.
I totally agree that children should learn about clean energy at a tender age. However, what if a better clean energy source than solar comes up in the nearest future? I guess they will have to unlearn and re-learn. Good hunt.
Damn this is awesome! Would loved that to play around as a kid. Also a great way to ger your kids in to renewable energy. As I kid I played a lot with some sort of science box and there was a little solar panel also in there which I enjoyed to most to experminet around with.

I have a five year old daughter - she might be a little young for this right now, but I'm sure she could pick it up quickly.
What a brilliant way to get kids interested in:
a) solar energy & its potential uses
b) creative problem solving and building kits
c) outdoor activities - like swimming!!!
Because those boats don't look like they have any steering - and we live close to a river.
So, unless the sun goes down pretty quickly, one of us may have to fish it out (if it can be caught). And my money's on her - what a great way to combine building kits with learning to swim!
It is a product that can bring up creativity and scientific sense to a child at the same time. Parents always look for ways to add more education to the interests of their children. I think it is a good product that can satisfy the needs of parents.
It is amazing how kids of this generation have access to such technologies and practical ways of learning the things. I see this kind of tools will make them learn things in a much faster way with greater levels of understanding.

Adaptability with new technology is inevitable for children to make them better researcher, scientist and creative mind. A creative mind is impossible without a good practical knowledge. PROFI Solar Power are great toys which are helpful for children to explore solar energy. Children are not doing fun with these toys but also learn a lot of scientific concept.
