We have all seen news about mass shootings in schools and colleges where a lot of students die because some crazy person decided to go there and attack innocent people.

This is why, some individuals think it is wise to equip themselves with some kind of protection while being in those places.

And since the majority of students are always with their laptops, ZipShield was created to both protect the person and also to protect the laptop.

It looks like a regular laptop sleeve, the only difference being it is capable of stopping bullets, and that might bring a lot of peace of mind for people worried about getting attacked with guns.

Pros:

when worn in your backpack, and when the backpack is worn properly, could act as armor?basically this is what armor is -- plates that are inserted into vests.
if the shooter is aiming at you, could this be used as a shield?
-- i went to the website and it says you can use it to defend yourself, so i guess so

Cons:

how heavy is this thing? the website didn't list weight. based on my experience helping design armor wear for a past project, armor plates can be pretty heavy for the typical person.
-- depending on how heavy it is, you might not be able to "run and defend yourself"

Pros:

Great shield for protecting you from bullets.
Nicely designed looks like lightweight

nothing I can see.

would normally not pass it because not 'tech' per say but because it's got 'bullet stopping innovation fabric' on it and because it's a great idea -- i'd certainly buy one for my daughter and tell her to be aware to use it in an emergency situation of any sort like that.
