One fear of homeowners is water damage due to leaks within the home. A pipe could burst or the water heater could break, which could lead to thousands of dollars of damage if not noticed.

EcoNet is one of many companies that provides add-ons to Z-Wave connected home monitoring systems. These add-ons are connected via the electrical system of the house and the Smart House controller takes that information and gives feed back when needed. Most of the add-ons are for power and temperature control. Not many are available in the water leak detection arena.

EcoNet specializes in water leak detection and automated shut-off. So, if the Leak Sensor was activated, it could tell the Smart Home controller to turn off water sources in order to stop the leak from getting worse.

The EcoNet Smart Home Leak Sensor comes in a pack of three and is compatible with most Smart Home controllers. It can be placed on the floor or wall mounted.
