Do you guys remember WhatThreeWords? This is kinda like that but for URLs. Sure you could go with a random short URL that google generates like: https://goo.gl/X2TqbS but it's ugly, dificult to remember and harder to share.
This free service turns your ugly short urls into something a bit easier on the eyes like nano.do/settled.buck.launch.
The service is completely free, it doesn't require you to make an account, and you also get a link to see stats of traffic via that link. Kinda handy!

I have used url shortening service to store internet shopping mall product URL before. This shortened URL is convenient to share with others. The URL shortening service you introduced is more advanced. Because it has words that are easy for people to read and remember. I have tried reducing the 'https://steemit.com' string by testing and I like the result(nano.do/publicly-concealment-pump). In addition, I can also see how many times people clicked on my link. Thank you for sharing. I will enjoy using this site.
Their is no way to customize your shortened link with google? I mainly use bit.ly for that purpose and there you are able to customize your URL like you want.

I remember WTW mapping system, and shorten url with the more interesting way is cool for me.

You can not say this because..Google is no longer in the game..
"Existing users will be able to create shortened URLs and export data from the goo.gl console through March 30th 2019. After that time, shortened links will continue to redirect to their destinations, but won’t be migrated over to the new Firebase console."
