The MicroSlice is a kit which can be used to cut paper, and also engrave wood, chocolate, plastic and leather. So we can call it a mini laser cutter & engraver.
This kit is an open source software and is controlled using an Arduino UNO.
The device takes 15 hours to build. It consists of the Arduino UNO R3, the laser, diode, the bolt, screws and even the cable.
The Cutting & Engraving is done by a 100MW Red Laser Diode of which you can find in a DVD-RW drive. The powered-up kit is equipped with a 200MW laser. The MicroSlice kit also consists of 97 laser-cut parts and it can work with a Raspberry PI.
