I can see where this could be a very valuable tool. Landscaping is very expensive and no one wants to see their precious plantings, whether it be flowers, shrubs, or garden plants, to die either from lack of water or over watering. Not all plants need the same type of moisture, so being able to program a watering regime to different sections of your plants would be useful. And if you travel a lot, even missing one day of watering can spell doom and destruction to your greenery. Just a watering hose on a timer can only go so far, and it gives the same amount of water to all the plants.
