The EcoGarden is a smart and interactive ecosystem that let's you grow fresh herbs and veggies all year round using aquaponics.
Aquaponics is an ancient technique or method that uses waste from fish to serve as nutrient for the plants which in turn helps the fish to filter the water. So this is a perfect example of Mutualism.
The Ecogarden has the following benefits
. No soil is required as the plants grow in gravel or clay pallets
. Aquaponics uses about 95% less water than other traditional farming methods
. Aquaponics ensures you get higher yields through increased productivity. As a matter of fact the growth rate is twice that of other farming methods
. It is an organic system therefore no pesticides is required
. The relationship between the fish and plant is symbiotic and to be specific it is mutualism, therefore they take care of each other and benefit from each other. In other words the ecosystem is self sustaining
