This is indeed a great way for developers to keep track of the time they are spending coding a project and help them not only optimize it, but also manage their work-life balance well.

so simple, but something that can be so effective. just record the time spend on some coding task and push the results into the face of the developer/code writer. I'm pretty sure many people/coders will try and do some new task in less time. as mentioned already; such a great idea and seems so simple I can only say: 'why didn't I think of this?'. nice hunt!
