Blender XR is an open source plugin for Autodesk but it's special because you can create your 3D designs through Virtual Reality.
Its Kickstarter campaign has already been funded although there are almost 9 days left.

I saw the YouTube video you shared and I was impressed. This is a good example of the application of VR technology. Using this technology, we can revolutionize the productivity of CAD work. Before, we had to model CAD on a 2D computer monitor, but using this plug-in can give us to make 3D model with hands-on experience of seeing and touching objects in the real world. The technology that can create, modify, rotate and change the size of 3D models in a VR environment is truly great. I am thrilled to see a technology that can only be seen in SF movies coming to our life.
University students must implement this kind of tech you know. It is very useful and futuristic, looking forward from VR CAD designs.

Now if they can just make that VR headset look like an Ironman mask, we can all live out our Tony Stark fantasies!
All we'd need was a copy of AutoDesk (not cheap) and hour upon hour of in-depth training :)
This looks amazing. It's really exciting where AR/VR is going. The Ironman mask comment above is as throw-away as it first appears, either, because I believe VR especially is years away from mass-adoption. It will only truly take-off once we don't have to wear those big, bulky masks.

VR is getting more and more traction. Having this kind lf plugin to a major CAD aplication will make it even more usable. I'm just confused about the name .... Blender is the free open source 3d softwere. This i a VR plugin for Autodesk ....
Fudge! Is this for real? Even having an Autodesk or Autocad application is kinda far from a normal one but this one is much better or even best! An awesome way to create 3D Designs in VR/AR. Superb!
