Origin and personality
Through her entire childhood, Tina was a military brat. With her father Leon being deployed around the world, she never had the chance to put down roots and make close friends, though she did the best that she could and was well liked by those who did get the chance to know her. She was very close with her father, who not only helped her with her studies but also gave her basic combat, self-defense and firearms training.
At the age of 16, her father was severely injured in the line of duty by a roadside explosive, losing both of his legs in the incident. Their family was brought back the US and Leon was sent to a veterans hospital to receive prosthetics and physical therapy. When admitted to the hospital, Leon signed into a program that would use him as a test subject for advanced Olympium-powered prosthetics. He was one of the first test subjects for this program.
Initially, the program was a huge success. Leon was fitted with two bionic legs that looked and felt practically like the real thing and he was discharged from the hospital after a 9-month stay. While unable to return to combat, Leon was in line for a desk job within the US military. However, his prosthetics had problems that sometimes caused them to function erratically. Follow-ups at the hospital provided diagnostics, but the problems could never be reproduced in the lab. Leon would continue coming back regularly for checkups, but eventually the hospital stopped scheduling him for checkups.
Leon continued having problems with the prosthetics, which seemed to be getting worse until one day when Leon and Tina were going out for lunch. While walking to the restaurant, Leon’s legs had a severe malfunction which caused him to walk off the sidewalk directly into incoming traffic. He died instantly, while Tina was powerless to help.
Over the next few years, Tina’s hatred for the military grew as she blamed them for the events that led to his tragic and sudden death. In addition, the Olympium from his bionic legs seems to have infected her, giving her the ability to telepathically cast illusions directly into people’s minds and making them see what she wanted them to see. With this ability and the combat training she received from her dad, she vowed to take revenge on the doctors, the scientists and the military who she felt were responsible for his death.

Abilities
Ability 1
Illusion: Mirage has the ability to create singular or multiple illusions that are visible to a single target or an entire group, however the more objects she renders or people she wants to effect, the more she must concentrate to maintain the illusion.
Her illusions are not rendered visually, but telepathically. They only exist in the mind of who she’s projecting them into, so photographs and video surveillance would not capture what she summons into other people’s minds.
While she can add whatever she wants to an environment, her ability has limitations. First, her illusions do not produce sound — only images. Secondly, she cannot modify anything that already exists in reality, though she could cover an item with one of her illusions. For example, projecting a brick wall over a door to make someone think they’re trapped in a room.
Ability 2
Reflexes: Mirage has highly developed reflexes. While not at superhuman levels, they are considered to be at the peak of normal human abilities.
Ability 3
Fighting proficiency: Mirage has trained in various types of combat and can hold her own against larger, stronger opponents using leverage and misdirection. However her speciality is stealth, allowing her to combine her illusions with her combat training to be an extremely efficient assassin.
Weakness
With her primary ability being the ability to cast illusions telepathically, she is unable to produce believable illusions to other telepaths or those who have strong will or resistance to telepathy.
Other notes
While she is an assassin, she doesn’t kill indiscriminately. She will let someone walk away from a fight as long as they’re no longer a threat, unless she was specifically assigned to kill them.
