Steem Growth Forum Tips and Welcome 20,000 new Steem Accounts from last week!

First off, Thank you @crimsonclad for a really pretty banner for the Steem Growth Forum.

I (@aggroed) wanted to take half a second and give some tips to folks that are coming tomorrow at 11am (just over 24hrs from when this post is published) to the Steem Growth Forum.

The Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Network Discord Chat

The Forum can have a variety of experiences.

• Speak on air (if you meet the requirements this round, only in Discord)
• Listen on air (in Discord or MSPwaves.com/listen)
• Watch a screencast (mspwaves.com/listen will have a full screen cast)
• Type in the Discord Chatroom.

We're going to have a lot of people in the room and chat is going to go by pretty quickly. Conversation is likely to spill into more than one channel if the chat is going too fast. If it's been a while since you've been in Discord I suggest you get in there early. It takes a second to orient yourself.

Witnesses and Moderators

There should be a fair number of people who are colored in purple and blue in the top right of Discord. These folks are publicly elected witnesses and Moderators who they have appointed to help run PALnet. If you have questions about how Discord works, how to setup your audio, or anything else like that please ask them in chat first, and if you can't get an answer try a few moderators in blue, and if that doesn't work try some of the people in purple.

We're expecting a sizable number of people so bear with us if your questions aren't answered immediately.

We'll make other forums to give you a chance to talk

Especially for folks that feel strongly they have things to say and are frustrated about the first cut off lines I want to assure you this is the start of the conversation. Lots of folks have good ideas and if they can collaborate with other people well execute on them. This is the beginning and we'll look forward to hosting other events where minnows without large groups can network and figure out ways to contribute to the platform to make it better and get noticed.

You don't have to bet it all on this first round of this. Be strategic, productive, and helpful.

Good Questions

You're going to have access to some pretty big names on the platform. I don't suggest you message spam them directly. If you're wanting someone to answer some questions try putting them in the general chatroom for the event first.

Ask about the technicals needs for the platform to grow.
Ask about the quality of content to attract people.
Ask about the rewards curve.
Ask about new projects.
Ask about features of the website.
Ask about ways to limit abuse.

You're welcome to be critical at times and share how things haven't been working, but here's the thing.

Try not to be negative, attack other people or their work, or be disruptive. You'll likely get banned, and it's not going to help your page or your reputation. Remember most people on the platform are trying to do the best they can because a rising tide lifts all ships.

20,000 new Steem accounts

It's a pretty exciting week when just in 1 week the platform expands by about 5%. Great job folks bringing in your friends, family, and network to join one of the most exciting and dynamic crypto currency spaces out there. We're only going to get better. We'd like to welcome you to join us at this forum, and in general to our Discord and Minnow Support Project. Often what you need to succeed isn't just good writing skills or art skills, that's the bare minimum, but what you actually need is a network of people that can help you grow and support your work. That's us.

So, congrats to the platform. That's a great week, and welcome to the Minnow Support Project and the Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Network.
