Well, steemit didn't turn out to be what I heard it was; bots only making it for people with less creative write ups and posts seen by humans but very well neglected! Even those that clamour for a serene steemit aren't helping minnows as well.

Okay, it is. ;) But that doesn't mean you have to leave. You just got to work harder. Do you walk away so quickly from all your relative failures? Would you not at least like to find a few answers that could have helped you? That could help you if you choose to stick around.
There are solutions. You just got to be creative. And work hard.

You just joined the steemit community and you want to take your leave already? Well maybe, there is somethin you aren't just doing right. Have you tried joining the right communities, following the right people and developing the right content?
I think if your motive of coming was just for the upvotes and money then it's wrong.Steemit is a social media.Make friends,interact,join communities and learn from people.

Nah. Not just for the money though it's a part of it. It's a social media yet people do not comment (appreciate or criticise) on posts to encourage others. It's not just about the upvotes, I get them in comments as well, it's about sharing ideas.
On facebook I'd do a poem and someone would take out time to give the thumbs up comment or point out where I would have done better. It gives hope.
That's the major pain
