So I just finished making some Cucumber water and a snack because it's been so long in the refrigerator that half of one is already yellow. Hahaha. Didn't buy any lemons so why not cucumber right? And also I just bought pizza and ate some earlier. Didn't have any juice or soda to drink with it so I guess that's why I suddenly felt like eating some cucumber snack too.


This is pretty simple and easy to do so I just want to share it.



Ingredients:

  • 1 medium sized cucumber
  • 1 liter water container
  • 5 - 8 tablespoons of vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (or some sugar to taste)
  • salt to taste
  • pepper powder to taste if you like some spiciness



Instructions:

1. Take out the cucumber from the refrigerator and wash it. It's best to snack on it when still cold.

2. Cut up your cucumber into thin enough slices.


3. Fill up your water container with water up to 3/4 before it gets filled.

4. Shoot those cucumber slices in your water container. About half of them is enough for a liter container.



5. Mix it a bit or shake it upside down then put it in the refrigerator for the flavor/nutrients to get in the water ready to drink the next day.

6. As for the remaining slices, you can put them in a bowl.

7. Add the vinegar (I used Apple Cider Vinegar).

8. Add the salt to taste (and pepper too if you'd like some).

9. Don't forget to pour in the honey too (or sugar)!



10. Mix 'em all together and you have your crunchy and healthy cucumber snack! ♥




Benefits of Cucumber Water:

Online it says it's one of those detox drinks. Mostly they say it helps with losing weight and yeah the detox thing, flushes out toxins and such. I'm not fat or anything but okay, am just trying it out today.


Here's the benefits according to an online article:

  • Keeps you hydrated
  • Helps with weight loss
  • Has antioxidants
  • May help prevent cancer and/or lower blood pressure
  • Supports healthy skin and boosts bone health.



The snack benefits? All of that plus the benefits of apple cider vinegar (if you used it). Can't get any healthier than that eh?

Oh wait, I can add some turmeric powder too! Hahaha. Anyway hope you like it!
