Steemgg Is Now Open For Business

in #steemgg6 years ago

Yesterday I wrote a post about how the gaming industry is coming to the STEEM blockchain. Steemgg is a platform which will allow independent game developers to profit from their creations.

They announced they are now open for business.

At this time, there are already a couple games uploaded on there.

Developers are now able to upload their games as of now.

To upload a game, you first need to access the upload game page by clicking the "Upload Game" button on the top of the page. This will take you to the uploading page. There are two parts to the page. The first part, "Game Information", allow you to enter the name, description and cover image of your game. You can then choose the size and type of your game. Finally, by clicking the button "Click to Upload", you will bring up a prompt to select your game for upload.

Platform compatibility:

Right now, our platform only supports PC. Windows, MacOS and Linux(Desktop) are all supported operating system.

Currently We DO NOT support Mobile. However, we aim to provide mobile support in the near future.

As I mentioned yesterday, this is a platform with a ton of potential. The gaming industry is enormous. Gaming on blockchain could really help all the developers out there.

STEEM is growing in terms of the development. This is a platform to watch over the next few months. There were a few who commented that they are gaming developers and are excited about this platform. It will be interesting to see what the creative souls on here come up with.

As a stakeholder in the STEEM ecosystem, I believe this is something that will enhance the value for all of us. Gaming can attract millions of people to this blockchain. Gaming without downloads or advertisements sounds attractive to players. At the same time, developers can be rewarded for their work without being gouged by the industry.

This could be a major win all around.

The games sector is indeed huge, so this could really become something that will attract loads of new users. Right now I really wish I was a programmer or game developer. It would be so much fun to create some games to add...

The flexibility and scalability of STEEM in action! Also great to see the community developing these solutions without depending on other platform developers like Steemit Inc. Goes to show the possibilities despite potential failures of certain groups on the platform. It is surely another example of the experience of the world wide web back in the nineties.

Nice! I should upload a tiny project to test it out.

That's a step in the right direction. I tried playing the second game. It was a basic tower defense game. Not too bad. I also tried playing the first game, but it wouldn't work. I tried clicking on "play" but it wouldn't work. Tried hitting enter, and other buttons, but nothing registered so I exited. Maybe they're still working on improvements.

I could return the upvote in the post

@taskmaster4450 This is a Win Win for everyone that Loves Gaming and getting Rewarded for It !!

This is an awesome development. I can see this bringing a lot of new users over as it develops. Does it also offer rewards for gamers to take part in games? Paid to play sounds very appealing.

I have just visited steemgg and it seems pretty cool gaming site.

You are right that SteemGG and blockchain can add a tremendous value over the Steem blockchain.
