STEEM Food Tours #13 - Hainan Curry Rice, Klang, Malaysia I 吧生海南咖喱飯

Today I would like to introduce besides Bak Kut Teh, the other kind of breakfast Klang people love, "Hainan Curry Rice".

今天想和大家分享是除了肉骨茶，很多吧生人也喜欢吃的古早味经典早餐之一 "海南咖喱飯"。

There are still three historical places that you can find this dish in Klang, the one I am introducing today was the food stall operating for over 40 years behind the Old Cathay Cinema in Klang town district, which sadly was burned down 2 weeks ago, but lucky us, the owner of the stall found a new place and reopen for business, the address will be placed at below.

目前在吧生有三个历史性的地方还可以找到，今天要介绍的是在吧生市区旧国泰戏院后面的小贩中心营业了近有四十年的档口，可惜在两个星期前一场大火把整个小贩中心烧平了。还好这档海南咖喱飯的老板找到了新地点再重新营业。地址会在下面附上。

Hainan Curry Rice here looks like Japanese curry rice, but on top of the steamy rice was drenched with mild starchy curry which not spicy at all like the Indian curry, for some they might not like the taste. Served with braised such as braised pork, eggs, tau pok and stuffed tau kee, added another bowl of sour vegetable soup with pieces of pork intestine and coagulated pork blood, absolute heaven!

海南咖喱飯看起来有点像日式咖喱，但其实是将勾了芡的茨粉咖喱汁淋上热热的白饭，如不习惯的人可能会不能接受这口味。把咖喱飯配上各式的海南卤味如卤肉，卤蛋，卤釀有肉馅的豆腐卜等等，再加上一碗开胃的咸菜猪肠猪血汤，真是绝配！现在要找到好吃的猪血汤已经不容易了。

They also sell fish meat, fish head and curry chicken, do give it a try!

另外店里其实也有卖鱼肉，鱼头及咖喱鸡，大家也不妨试一试啊！

This is a simple but nostalgic breakfast that Klang people love. Come to Klang for a half day spin and try our food here.
