Party spinach rolls
If you are expecting guests and you want to prepare some healthy, delicious snack, that recipe is perfect for you! Party spinach rolls are simple, although original, distinct but also giving you that feel-like-home vibe. It can be used also as the dinner meal in one of these days when you feel you want to give yourself something special.
Go to the shop for the ingredients and start cooking with me. You will be surprised how fast and easy meal it is!
Ingredients:
🥬 300 g of spinach
🥬 100 g of cheese
🥬 Puff pastry
🥬 Garlic
🥬 4-5 tbsp of tomato puree
🥬 Soya sauce
Preparation:
1️⃣
Clean the spinach, remove the petioles from the leaves. If you want to, you can chop the leaves, but it's not obligatory.
Add soya sauce, few cloves of smashed garlic and fry everything for a while.
2️⃣ Grate the cheese. You can use any cheese you want, starting from Gouda or Mozarella and ending on feta (in case you use feta, reduce amount of used soya sauce to not make the meal too salty).
3️⃣ Cover the raw puff pastry with the tomato puree. I am using puff pastry from the shop because preparing own takes 48 hours, but tomato puree is home made. You can learn how to make it here
4️⃣ Put the spinach on the pastry. Leave at least 3 cm of the space from the corners, otherwise the spinach will fall out when you will be rolling the pastry.
5️⃣ Add the cheese. If you want to include any other favourite ingredients to your rollers, do it now.
6️⃣ Carefully roll the pastry. It helps when the pastry is on the foil which you can comfortably grab.
7️⃣ Cut the pastry into thin slices. Use the sharp knife. If some of the spinach will fall out during cutting, put it back inside. Insert the rollers into the oven for 18 minutes in 180°C or until the puff pastry will get slightly brown.
Your party snack is ready. No forks needed, just grab and enjoy!
