Greetings fitness enthusiasts and lovers, it's my honour to be part of this challenge. Over the last few weeks, I craved the opportunity to participate but the time factor and other factors didn't permit. But, I am glad that I am a participant. Without further ado, let's get into the business of the day.

This week, the focus is on Situp and reverse crunches. The former is one of the popular programs used in abs training. Even some fitness apps put them in the list of abs training exercises. It is important to note that the main target of these exercises is the core which is your abdominal muscles.

Sit Up

During the situp program, here are some guidelines I followed to obtain the required results

  • First, I laid down on a yoga mat ensuring that my back is flat on the mat and my legs are slightly inclined to my upper body.
  • I begin the process ensuring that only my upper body is lifted advancing to my inclined legs.
  • All those while, I made sure my legs remained on the ground and hands were raised.
  • After 7 reps, I rested for 10 seconds and continued again till the program was completed.

Reverse Crunch

From the start, I knew this one will tie wrapper😹. But the fun part is that I executed it and here's how.

  • First, I laid on the yoga mat and placed my hands by my side for added support.
  • I raised my feet above the ground and began the process.
  • After 10 reps, I rested for 10 seconds and continued again till the program was completed.

Which of these programs is the most difficult for you and how did you overcome the difficulty

For me, it was reverse crunch because it really used most of my core energy. Even I wasn't consistent in accuracy during the reverse crunches, but it was a good shot. How I overcame the difficulty was nothing but perseverance and proper body posture. At times, we can persevere but bad body posture spoils the whole show. That's why it's important to consider the latter.

What is my overall feelings at the end of these programs?

After completing the programs, I felt my stomach tightening returning some pains to that section. The visible one was the sweating part as my body produced swear during and after the programs. But as time went on, it left and I felt light later on. The pain will come but that's what set you aside from non- fitness lovers. The pain comes and go but your gain stay with consistency.

I invite @bossj23, @kouba01 and @mile16 to this challenge.
