SteemFest Hackathon Pre Party Meet & Greet With Drinks! 17 Photos Of Friendship & Fun!
YES! Finally I am getting to the point in the timeline of my thousands of photos from this epic adventure. THE SteemFest action!

As you may know if you have been checking out my recent posts (of which are of the somewhat recent past...) Thankfully I went to Lisboa a few days before SteemFest2 so I could set up the SteemFest art gallery and also see the wondrous city before the non stop action packed days of STEEM!!!
NOW! I am finally up to the point in the photo timeline where I get to share the epicness that is SteemFest!
This is also the point where I begin a month of almost non stop drinking of wine and beer! Thankfully there was a happy bar maiden to continually pour the brew.....Well there was actually two....
SteemFest was of course the highlight of the whole trip and the drinks were of plenty! Yet I did arrive early to Portugal, stay late and then travel through Spain afterwords. For anyone who does not know Spain is one of the biggest producers of both wine and beer in the world and not only can you get good wine/beer, but very cheap!
Everyone was really excited to be here because it was the FIRST SteemFest organized get together at a really cool old user floor apartment that was turned into a bar! @roelandp is an excellent host and has very fine taste!
(You can see the fun and excitement of old Steemit friends from SteemFest1 meeting up for the first time at SteemFest2! Here we have @everlove @saramiller and @juanmiguelsalas reuniting outside before we even got into the venue!)
The fellow Steemians were of course the highlight of this event and SteemFest, then the drinks then the awesome venue. Here you can see some of the photos of this upper apartment turned into a hip bar.
This was once the living room and is now the biggest lunge spot in the bar.
It had an antique rustic feel but was astheticly very pleasing.
They also had lots of nice accents and decorations throughout the rooms.

I waited for the bathroom in what was probably once a bedroom turned into another smaller drinking lounge. I don't usually do any waiting so I alchemized it and made something of my time with a selfie ;-)>
The coloring, lighting and decoration in each room was legit. Now on to the BATHROOM!
Its just an average apartment bathroom, very small and basic. Which is almost unbelievable for a BAR as we know how much you gotta pee when drinking beer!
It was very stylish though and had a nice place for my beer while I took this photo and a pee ;-)>
Then it was back to the BEST part which was getting to know my fellow Steemians!
Little did I know, but at the PRE HACKATHON I was talking to the future WINNER @martibis of the SteemFest Hackathon!
I also had an awesome conversation with @originate who at the time I did not know was a Steemit Inc employee and part of the original Steemit Inc crew!
He had some great vibes, style and if I did not find out I would have never guessed he was a programmer.
We all enjoyed our selfs and called the night slightly earlier than the following due to the early morning hackathon the next day!
Friendship is truly one of the most valuable gifts in life. I am thankful for the friendships I begun this night. Some of the people I got along with most @originate @wackou @piem @luzcypher and this magnificent man known only as Vincent who over the course of SteemFest I hung out with more than almost anybody.
I am super excited to be sharing the beginnings of my SteemFest experience as it was truly epic. This is only just the beginning as I have so much more to share!

OH my gosh!!! I love reliving these moments. @juanmiguel was one of the Steemians I was excited to see again after meeting him at SF1. What a genuine soul! Funny how we gravitate toward many of the same people--all of those you mention were some of my most favorite people too.
You took some great shots of that old house/bar. I've many a time intentionally painted walls to look like those in that space, and I love things with history and energy of many people and happenings. A very unique, surprising and intriguing scene around every corner... It really was an epic place.

GOOD EVENIN MY FRIEND! Ahh how time passes in such a wonderful way. Ren and I are just settling back in after her return from traveling and letting life slow down a little bit.
It was an honor to get to know you and the group a little more through Ren. She talks so highly of you, Sara, and Shelly.
I'm already looking forward to next year when I'm there to get to know everyone.

I don't know what enneagram is but I can tell you that I have been an introvert my whole life. I very rarely ever talk, go anywhere or have any friends.
Yet I am also awakened so can exemplify what qualities I choose if need be.
For SteemFest I was without a doubt flaming ;-)>
The enneagram is a very cool personality system based on an ancient Sufi symbol, it has 9 main core points but can be subdivided down to like 46 different types or more. The best book on it is the "Wisdom of the Enneagram". I use it a lot to understand myself, to seek my pure being free of ego, as well as to understand my friends and family. It helps me accept people with all their different takes on life. I'll probably do a post on it at some stage as I love it!
Hmmmmm.... 4 might still be about right for you, check it out. The 4, or "romantic" is : a "Sensitive, Introspective Type: Expressive, Dramatic, Self-Absorbed, and Temperamental". One of my brothers is a four, he has a very fine-tuned sense of aesthetic and likes to differentiate himself, that's why I said it as you have such a specific aesthetic to your style!
Anyway, don't mind me, I guess it could be quite rude to psychoanalyse people I don'y know on internet networks! I don't mean any harm by it!
I am going above and beyond on gratitude here, and number one because Francesco Matinatta "Frankie" we are thankful for all that your family done for him while there! Love always wins! And also all your sustainability and creativity role model that I super appreciate! Down to eARTh I AM!
I help a lot of people but few as kind and loving as Frankie. Happy to help a brother in need with holistic love and care.

Vincent...so that was his name! I know he's Dutch too and spoke to him a few times but never got his name. Great photos @quinneaker. It's lovely to see all those smiling faces again!

I totally agree! Five days wasn't enough! So many people I would have loved to talk to more (including yourself @quinneaker) but just didn't get a chance. And once you connect with some it's hard to just break away to move on to the next. But still, it was an experience I'll never forget as well as the people and the energy.

That's very true. Since I came back home, I've been on Steemit a lot more than before, also because I didn't have the time before (moving house) but mainly because now it's much nicer to read people's posts after meeting them. And what's a year after all?
