Day two of Steemfest from Boat ride to Bowling

Day two of Steemfest was full of new experience, visiting places around the city and rounded off with a great night.

Boat Ride

The first stop or rather trip yesterday was taking the river bus to the Steemfest venue. It's the first time I've taken the river bus and it was quite packed at rush hour. The other thing I hadn't expected was we actually had to change boats just like normal buses! The whole journey took about 20 to 25 minutes and only cost me 9 baht which is like USD0. 30 though I heard it cost some other people like baht. I think we were undercharged, not that I'm complaining 😉

Siam Society

This is our venue for the day, the Siam Society. It's lovely building and parts of it dates back to 160 years ago and is built in a traditional northern Thai architecture style. There was an outside garden area for those who wanted to mingle and network.

Pathum Wanaram Temple

In the late afternoon we went to visit the Pathum Wanaram temple. The temple is located in the center of the city and was completed in 1857 by the then King. It was really serene walking around the forest on the temple premise, bar some sports car who kept on revving its engine around the city.

Siam Paragon Blu O Bowl

Our last stop of the day was the bowling event. I heard from people who went last year that this was really fun and it certainly was not disappointing. I formed a team with @LadiesOfAsia @elizacheng @travelgirl and @wanderein and our team was called Team LOA. Here's our first ever photo of half of the @LadiesOfAsia team. Our first match was against Team Japan, and we tied. Then we were up against Team Germany in the second round and got smashed by them. But to be fair they went on to win the tournament so we'll done Team Germany! By the end of the night I was so tired but it was a great day!
